About Our Site

Insomniacs was formed to offer a unique reference point on how to overcome insomnia, sleeping problems and sleep disorders.

We incorporate the latest research in the field into informative articles intended to help you tackle these challenging and often debilitating conditions. And as many of our contributors have themselves suffered from these disorders, we have a keen insight into what does - and does not - work. We understand the problems faced by those with sleep disorders, and how those difficulties can be carried over into daily life.

This site isn't aimed solely at sufferers, but also at those who care about them. If someone close to you has a sleep disorder, we want to help you to help them too. The navigation panel on the left hand side of the homepage will take you to a range of articles tailored specifically to help you to understand and combat these conditions.

Our mission is to provide a dynamic, top-quality website that will help you, and those closest to you, get a good night's sleep. With this in mind, you will also find a Readers Comments section, where, in addition to discussing this site, readers can share their own advice with others who have experienced similar problems.

Our concern was that there was no single UK resource for interesting features and practical advice on this subject.

Our features and articles are written by experts - who have experience, or a particular interest in this area.

Our Background
Insomniacs was founded by John Rowlinson, the founder of PtS.

John, through PtS, is involved in a number of ventures including software and property companies. A percentage of revenue from these activities goes towards funding Insomniacs and a number of similar sites.

Our focus is simply on having experts create the highest quality information possible that is widely read.
